New concept art of “The Avengers” on the streets of New York City and Loki in full villain regalia has become available. The production recently wrapped in Cleveland (which was standing in for New York) and is rumored to be headed to the actual New York City for the next phase of production.

The concept art below gives a sense of what the team will look like tearing up the streets of the city as they attempt to defeat their enemies.

Joss Whedon directs a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner.

“The Avengers” comes to AMC theatres on May 4th, 2012.
