‘Skyfall’ Gains A Bond Girl
The 23rd instillation in the James Bond franchise, “Skyfall,” has gained a new “Bond girl.” According to the “all things Bond” news site MI-6 director Sam Mendes has hired Greek actress Tonia Sotiropoulo as the Bond girl in the opening sequence of the film in Istanbul. She is scheduled to shoot for five days at the end of this month.
In “Skyfall” Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Mendes directs a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace.
“Skyfall” opens in AMC Theatres on November 9th.
