Ben Whishaw To Play Q In Bond 23 ‘Skyfall’

It has been announced that Ben Whishaw will play the gadget master Q in the new James Bond film “Skyfall.” Q’s presence was missed in both of the previous Daniel Craig Bond instillations, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace,” and Bond aficionados will likely be gratified to see the return of the character.


The 31-year-old Whishaw is the youngest actor to portray the technological savant. Desmond Llewelyn played the character for 36 years follwed by John Cleese in 2002s “Die Another Day.” Whishaw and Craig previously worked appeared together in Matthew Vaughn’s 2004 action-thriller “Layercake.”

“Skyfall” will open in AMC theatres on November 9, 2012.
